Subway Station Tile Tables
Brick tops are individual fire tiles salvaged from the walls of Pape Station in Toronto’s subway system. Each features its original soft yellow pastel glazing, showcasing their even “checking”, under the high-gloss fire coating. Solid steel bases are designed to support the tops through their venting holes in the way an heirloom ring secures its precious jewel; no glue, no screws. Bricks are left fully exposed to illuminate their weight and pay homage to their true industrial form.
